Tozour Family's Fluorescent Rocks Page 48: Reymert MineClick this link Page 48 Reymert Mine Plugin for a special page for use of the sView plugin in Internet Explorer or very old versions of Firefox ESR Great thanks to Pete Neri for two specimens of "Christmas Ore" from the Reymert Mine, near Apache Junction, Arizona.Pete writes, "The material enclosed is what I call 'Christmas Ore' - due to its bright colors - orange/red, green, white, and sometimes blue coloration. The orange/red color is calcite, the green is willemite, the white is aragonite, and the blue is fluorite. The material is short wave fluorescent with the exception of the fluorite. It fluoresces better under a long wave light. The green color material is quite phosphorescent also. The material comes from the Reymert Mine near Apache Junction. AZ. You can still find the ghost town of Reymert on some maps, but the town has been abandoned for decades...."
